Technical script preparation usually involves preparing a pronunciation guide for a book. I typically do this for books that include linguistics, foreign languages, Constructed Languages or "ConLangs" (invented languages created for fiction), or for books that need clear annotation for use by multiple narrators in one project.

 

I also often get brought in on projects that have a lot of Spanish or Chinese (Mandarin) or require some historical linguistics research such as history books that include terms from ancient languages that aren't recorded.
